I will not pull out only certain kinds of stone, or certain sizes. It works along with the grit to grind down and smooth your stones.SELECTION IS COMPLETELY RANDOM. I put the chips and shards in my tumbler with the other stuff. Obviously the larger the stone, the more work it will take to break up. Don't be macho! You will get some pretty material for your rock tumbler. MAKE SURE you wear safety glasses and wear gloves when you do this. I use a 5-8 Lb sledge hammer and an anvil. **As with any rough stones, these may have cracks or pitting you will have to work around if cutting slabs for cabbing.NOTE: While most of this material will produce slabs (size of slabs will vary obviously), some won't.FOR TUMBLING ROUGH: You will have to break the rough stones up into smaller pieces that will fit your rock tumblers.
